Danko Iordanov served as the head coach of the University of Saint Katherine’s (NAIA) men’s indoor and beach volleyball teams for three seasons. Prior to St. Katherine, Iordanov started the men’s indoor and beach volleyball programs at Westcliff University in Irvine, California. He was also the assistant coach at Napa Valley College for two seasons where his wife, Kristen Iordanova, was the head coach. 

Prior to college coaching, Iordanov was a professional beach player, consistently ranked in the top 100 players in the U.S. and participating in over 10 professional tournaments per year. He competed until taking the Westcliff job in 2018.   

Iordanov brings to the program over two decades of coaching experience, having coached at various levels since 2000, including assisting at the professional level.  He has had successful stints with various clubs, including two national championships with RPM Sand and nearly 10 years of indoor club coaching. He currently coaches for Surfside Volleyball Club. He has coached several national champions, all-americans and all-conference players. Iordanov served as the USA Volleyball Men’s Beach Collegiate National Team Head Coach in 2021. He currently still serves as a coach for the USA Volleyball NTDP and is also an NTDP scout for beach volleyball.  He also helps as a volunteer with the US Women’s National Team.
