No. 7 Beach Volleyball Splits Friday Doubleheader

LONG BEACH, CA – The Cypress College beach volleyball team (10-7, 5-2 OEC) split their two Orange Empire Conference matches at the Belmont Shore Beach Volleyball Courts on Friday morning.

The No. 7 Chargers swept Santa Ana College, 5-0, before falling in a close contest to Orange Coast College, 3-2.

Cypress' No. 1 (Khamis Berneker/Brittany Zavala) and No. 4 (Marina Pilkington/Ashley Corona) pairs went a perfect 2-0 on the day. Both pairs won easily against the Dons and won their match-ups against the Pirates in three sets.

Cypress beach volleyball will return to action at Belmont Shore in Long Beach against Saddleback College on Friday, April 12. First-serve is scheduled for 9:00am.
