HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – The Cypress College beach volleyball team is set for postseason play following Friday's OEC Pairs Tournament at Golden West College.

The Chargers will compete in the CCCAA Beach Volleyball Team Regional on Tuesday at Grossmont College. Cypress will take on host Grossmont at 10:00 am followed by a matchup against Moorpark College at 11:00 am. The winner of the three-team regional will advance to the CCCAA State Championships on Thursday, May 10th at West Valley College in Saratoga, CA.

Cypress' top ranked pair, Khamis Berneker and Toso Leae, finished sixth in this year's OEC Pairs Tournament, while Kayla Owens and Penina Wilder finished seventh. Both pairs qualified for the CCCAA Regional Pairs Tournament scheduled for Friday, May 4 at Irvine Valley College.

Berneker/Leae will open play against the third seed from the South Coast Conference. Owens/Wilder will take on the second seed from the Pacific Coast Conference.
