WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: NICE WIN OVER CYPRESS

The #18 Hornets put together a strong performance at home over district rival #10 Cypress College sweeping through the Chargers 3-0: 25-21, 25-15, 25-17.

The FC win bumps them up to 11-5 overall and 6-2 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the loss sets the Chargers back to 15-7 overall and 6-2 in the OEC.

The win evened up the season series between the two OEC/District rivals at 1-1 as Fullerton avenged an earlier loss to Cypress back on October 2nd.

"It was a nice win for us against a very competitive team. I'm very proud of our ladies tonight. They came out playing strong like they can and stuck to the game plan, especially in the second set", Coach Eddie Rapp.

Grace Lopez led the Hornets in kills with 10 on the night. Kaylyn Johnson and Alex Winfield both jumped in with 7 kills each.  Carly Bergen had 34 assists with a kill and 3 digs. Shawnee Longmeyer had 6 kills with 2 solo blocks and 1 block assist. Mikki Sale contributed with 7 digs with Azucena Duarte scooping up 6 digs.
