WOMEN'S SOCCER: SOPHOMORE DAY

WOMEN'S SOCCER: SOPHOMORE DAY

The Hornets played tough against #7 Cypress College before falling 1-0 at home on Friday.

The lone goal of the day came in the first 6 minutes of the game on a solo shot to the back of the net by Charger Karla Lopez.

The Hornet defense held Cypress scoreless for the next 84 minutes, but unfortunately the offense could not get one past the Chargers.

Fullerton goalie Mallory Van Voorhis was stellar with 8 blocks on the day while only allowing 1 goal against a potent offense.

There were 9 Hornet sophomores that were honored today before the game by Head Coach Pam Lewin as it was the last time they would play on Hornet Field.

"This group of women proved to be leaders on the field and served as mentors to our freshman. They will be greatly missed next season", said Lewin.
